How to program the TLR with Prog16z
(Preview)
I plagiarized almost all of this from the ZX-12 topic, but the programming section is different as that procedure wasn't working for me. If you are having trouble, you might want to try these: Here are the step by step instructions to use the PROG16Z software to program the ECU. A few things before we st...

TL1000R 16bit ECU OBD tools...
(Preview)
Hi guys, I just posted a BETA version of a TLR OBD flash tool that allows you to read the 32920-02FD0 (and probably 02FA0) ECU without having to "notch" it. The tool generates a single 48k bin file, so there's no need to re-assemble code segments. You'll need to build a simple OBD interface (for about $1...

Yosh box questions
(Preview)
Since quite some time I have a Yosh box built upon Steve's scheme that allows me to adjust idle for each cylinder (pot), and mixture from -10% to +10%) in L/M/H load ranges. Just like the original Yosh box does. Now someone suggested using a 10k linear pot instead of resistors for the L/M/H ajustments. V...

Location of BDM connector on ECU
(Preview)
Here is a drawing that details the location of the BDM port on the various 16bit ECU models. You can use it to cut a slot over the connector or as a guide to cut the larger notch. I would like to include the TLR ECU dimensions. I'm hoping those of you who have modified your ECU would share that information. EC...

Basics of reading ECU code
(Preview)
For those of you not familiar with reading assembly code in general or the 6816 processor used by the ECU in particular I though I would share some of the basics on reading the code that may help you get started. First it is pretty obvious from all the redundant and wasteful code that the software was orig...

First TLR Maps

Here is the first TLR map courtesy of Gjim (good job) It is from an ECU labeled 32920-02FAO 112100-0290 12V NEP021 Though it is 96k it contains only the map data 0001:0000 - 0001:7FFF. The software section 0000:0000 - 0000:FFFF is blank (00's). I gave it a preliminary look with analyze.exe and there...
