Maybe if you print out a sticker that says "this flasher contains componente known to the state of California to cause cancer" and put it on the box, it will allow you to flash it smile.gif

With the way emissions is nowadays, perhaps they locked the ecu or something. Hopefully just needs a little tweaking in teh code or wiring.

I tried with a pen changing the h20 to h10 and it didn't seem to make sense HAHA

i read in another post here

I believe the US also has a Californian model (E-33) which is 15H20. It alone has an EVAP canister and accompanying solenoid which is controlled by the No.15 pin (dark brown wire) at the ECU.

I bought my Australian Gen II as a repairable write-off at auction. Part of the deal was that it didn't have keys. When I found out how much a new set of keys were (and ECU and all locks) I considered buying a US ECU. As it was I eventually got the original keys for the bike, but I can tell you that the only real difference between the US/Californian and Canadian models and the 'others' is that the latter have an immoboliser.

The immobiliser wires are Orange/Blue (pin No.57), Red/Yellow (Pin No. 40) and Red/Blue (Pin No. 21).

Note that on the US/Californian/Canadian models the ignition switch wire to Pin No. 21 is Green/Black, not Red/Blue.

HO2S wiring is Orange/White for US/Californian/Canadian (Why don't I just say North American?!) and Orange/Green for the rest (Pin No. 17).

maybe rr,petrik could read (upload the .bin) and do a row level checksum and find the difference, then maybe petrik could write the sourcecode and inplement the .bin into eev2.0 for the califorina users??I have a version of rr's stuff that may be able to upload but we have to ask permission to do so if it can be done.

Error message says

Not a Hayabusa 15H00 or 15H10 ecu. Programmed stopped to avoid damage to ecu or bike.

does this in both normal or fast flash mode.

when I went to flash ECU it keeps coming back with a "error" message saying "flash aborted do to I do not have a 15H00 or 15h10 ECU" . So after taking a look at my ECU I noticed this..........

32929-15H20

112100-5882

12V NEPOL7 C

I get this message about 3 seconds after i hit the "flash ecu"

THANK YOU PETRIK clap.gif

Just thinking out loud here.....I really cant see the 15H20 being all that much different(if at all)then the H00/H10(code wise, but like I said b4, im no software writer??). The only difference between the California model vr's the H00/10 is the EVAP system. Going off the schematic(CA33A), there's only one(1) more circuit out of the ECU, and that is pin 15 to control the Purge Valve.....Most, I think?....would rather see this circuit be put to better use, naybe like a N2O activation biggrin  Just a thought.......

The next vesion of ecueditor2 should also contain flash verify flash function that can be used for situations like this.

Press verify button and it compares the flash in ecu to flash in comparemap so that you can see the fuel etc. map differences. So if you run this with a cali ecu you should get an answer that its not a recognized ecu. Just save that and post it to me.

At some point will add some check routines that the verify can not be used mistakenly to verify ecu binaries that are not from known hayabusa models.

I dont know if that button will be included at long term, but to check the cali ecu its there at least for now.

if you have updated your software then yes.

you may also want to run aptdiff (avail e.g. from www.webattack.com) and note the differences compared to k8.bin.

The ecueditor version downloadable now contains californian .bin mode setting and is ready for testing. I do not have a cali ecu here, but managed to flash my us ecu with cali image. Obvisously then got error 62 on screen for missing evap.

Will be interesting to check if the evap hw is there as thats a spare pin for most of us.

Other than evap all other maps etc. seems to be the same as for usa.

Would like to add a point here just for clarification.

The cali ecu program (firmware) is the same as US exept the part of evap control. Anyhow the maps are somewhat different.

The ee2 advanced settings just modifies the evap control to cali settings but retains us maps. Anyone wanting to eg. extend rev limiters but continue to run cali maps should get the base map from e.g. greg (smithabusa).
