Understanding TLR ECU hardware: IC301

From another post Gjim traced out several of the analog inputs to the ECU to IC301, a Toshiba 4052B

For those of you not familiar with this chip and the way it is used it is a Dual 4 into 1 multiplexer. The CPU only has 8 analog inputs, AN0-AN7, but the ECU has more than 8 analog channels it needs to measure. Its like when your TV only has one video input but you need to hook up your cable, DVD, Xbox etc. You get a switch box so you can easily switch between one of the 4 video inputs to watch. This chip does the same thing.

PE2 and PE3 (pins 10 and 9) select which channel to 'watch'.  It breaks down like this....

When PE3 is low and PE2 is low (channel 0) then
ECU 46 THW Engine Coolant Temp --> CPU 15 AN7/PADA7
and

No circuit --> CPU 16 AN6/PADA6

When PE3 is low and PE2 is high (channel 1) then

ECU 60 AT Ignition Switch --> CPU 15 AN7/PADA7

and

ECU 55 COV1 Yoshi Box --> CPU 16 AN6/PADA6

When PE3 is high and PE2 is low (channel 2) then
ECU 47 PA Ambient Air Pressure --> CPU 15 AN7/PADA7
and
ECU 56 COV2 Yoshi Box --> CPU 16 AN6/PADA6

When PE3 is high and PE2 is high (channel 3) then
ECU 59 DON Tip over Sensor --> CPU 15 AN7/PADA7
and
ECU 59 COV4 Not Connected --> CPU 16 AN6/PADA6

Well put, it took me quite a while to work that out.
For anyone interested the data sheet can be found Here
