2006/2007 R6 ECU

Here are photos of a 2007 R6 Ecu.  Both CPU's are the 7052F.  Also, take notice to the three crystals.

Also, it seems there is a smaller, 16 bit CPU. I ran the number on it in google and found the manual. The number on it is MC9S12T64. Here is a link to the manual:

http://www.datasheetcatalog.org/datasheet/motorola/9S12T64AF16V1.pdf

It says it has 64k of Flash EEPROM, 2k of RAM, and 2k of calibration RAM.

Along with the two 7052F processors, it seems there is a lot going on in this ECU.

Also notice there are two AUD ports, one for each CPU.

This is a Throttle-by-wire bike. I'm sure that's why they needed the processing power of dual cpus. Not sure what the third one is for.

Great as if this wasn't hard enough now I have to disassemble two or three CPUs per bike... hmm

So are you going to try and download the code from these units?

I started with the top CPU and was having trouble getting it to dump the code. It shows S214000000 but thats all. Then, I picked up the ECU to put it away at the end of the day and one of the wires I had soldered onto the AUD for the bottom CPU got caught and ripped the contact off furious.  Is this AUD port junk now?  I really don't want to cut another ECU.

Okay, I cut open an 06 R6 ECU and am dumping code from the bottom CPU.

What did you find with the dumped bins from both cpus?

Hi Dynoguy,

Did you manage to re-program the R6's Standard mapping? If so, what power increases did you get?

Regards,

Joe.
