I am from New Florence Pennsylvania US and routinely post on other motorcycle sites under the same sportbikeryder name.
I work on just about everyone's bike at our local track as well as my own. Everything from my basically stock 01 hayabusa to nitrous big bores to turbo bikes. I have been interested in fuel management for a few years and have worked with a few production standalone units in cars as well as a few megasquirt and Mini-ms. Outside of my motorcycle and racing hobbies, I am a Mechanical Engineer, primarily working on Military prototype vehicles ranging from gun mounts, truck beds, unmanned ground combat vehicles, to trailers.
I will follow the progress of Petrik's ECU editor and hopefully be able to provide some input from time to time. I supposed I need to start looking for an 02-07 ECU to convert my 01 hayabusa. I may need to jump in and build an interface in order to increase the limiters on a few of the bikes I tune as they are still making power at the limiter.
Thanks for all of your work and for sharing the info.
Welcome to the board. This board was initially set up by RidgeRacer who invented the art oc motorcycle ecu hacking. Today we are in a situation where we have developed knowledge and tools to tune K2-K7 hayabusas to record breaking results just with the standard ecu. No more tre, no more powercommander - the busa has a complete racing ecu already. until now we just did not know how to utilize it.
I hope you will enjoy on this board...
