06 750

I might have an ECU out of a 2006 750 here shortly, that I can donate for this. Do you already have one RidgeRacer? If not, where might I send this one to if I get it?

Or according to Gixxer.com you've already got one... last info I can find though is that it wasn't ready for public release yet. Any word on this?

I am waiting an ECU from a K6/K7 750. It should be here at the next 2 weeks. When i will get it i will dump it and start disassembling! So stay tuned for more information including maps and maybe Petrik can include this one to EcuEditor!

Cheers

Hi,

I received 2 ECUs today!
The part numbers are:
32920 - 02H10 = K6 750 Ecu
32920 - 29G20 = K4/K5 600 Ecu!

So now i have to find i way to download the firmware and the maps from both! Then i will start disassembling! I hope that the k6 750 will be the same as the 1000 but with different maps!

I post as soon as i have any more info!

Cheers

Im still up for dumping them. Let me know. Im almost to the point where I can dump through the harness, without cutting the ecm.

That surely interests me! Do you send a target resident program that sends all the data out of the ECU? Email me at psychegr at gmail.com or use the same address to find me on MSN! Cheers

No way to flash a 750 ECU?

Maybe it may be better to use a 1000 ECU and re-wire where necessary on a 750.

I havent pulled it out to verify, but it should be a 02H10.

Its from a K6 750.

EDIT: I havent pulled it out yet because its may only vehicle to get back and forth to work. My wife has commandeered my pickup so she can haul the kiddos around.

Hello.

I have also been looking for this bin, i got a K7 750 in the workshop at the moment.
This one got the 32920-02H00, i think it the same for K6 and 600, Correct me if im wrong!
The 02H10 is the restricted version?
I have ordered the BOE board and i have downloaded your bs2 script and schematics Ridge.
With a lot of help from Carry.

Ordered the boe locally so i think i will have it latest wednesday this week.
Anyone talked to PetriK about implementing this model in the EcuEditor?

Cheers!

Mine is definitely the 02H10.  I just went out in the garage and verified.  That's weird, I would have thought the K7 and K6 would have the same serial numbers.

Twice, do you mind sharing those links for the bs2 and schematics with me?

Thanks,

Jeremy

Now im getting unsure :)
RidgeRacer, do you know a bit more about 02H10 vs. 02H00??

Yes no problem, all is in this AUD thread in this forum.
http://ecuhacking.activeboard.com/t14206571/using-aud-interface-to-read-the-memory-contents/

Remember there are 3 different interfaces mentioned in this thread about reading AUD.
Let me know if you dont find em i email them to you.

hmmmm..."Cheers"....That got me thinking...Is your bike a european model?  Mine is American.  That would explain the difference in serial number.

I already sent the board type and program to for usage from RR. There is also in this forum explanation how to do it, just search for AUD.

About definitions I already done it for 600 K6 US, as soon as i will get other bin files i will prepare defs for you

02H00 Coming up, (i hope).

Recieved my BOE today, i will start making the wiring tomorrow.
So in the coming days i will either get the .bin or a bricked ECU :)

wizzity, have you made any progress with the 02H10 .bin?

I'm still waiting to see if someone else has pulled the bin off of their ECU.  My bike is a daily driver (my only vehicle) so I cant chance bricking the ECU now.  As much trouble as all of this is, i'm contemplating just having http://www.gsxrtune.com/06gsxr750.shtml flash it for me. What do you think?

I am really close to dumping now, stamp editor reads the aud.
But when i try to run TeraTerm alongside Stamp editor for capturing the code i get some errors that
the com-port is in use when i try to start the reading. Probably some setup in Tera. I will give it a go
today again and hope i solve it somehow.

Ridge, you got any tips on how to setup Tera?

All help is appriciated :)

One thing - You sure you have the power connect correctly? Most ECUs of that type the Power connections are 17 (+12V) and 34 (GND) looks like you have it connected to 1 and 18

I always used HyperTerminal that comes with winXP. Not familiar with TeraTerm.

Most likely problem is you can't have the stamp editor running at the same time as your terminal program.

Close the stamp program (a copy is downloaded and will run stand alone on the board)

Start the terminal program and set it to capture.
Then press reset on the board, you should get the welcome message, enter 00000000 (eight zeros)
board starts downloading.

Thanks Ridge!

I see my problem, tried to capture while stamp was running as you say. I dont have any experience in programming before so i thought the capture was to be done alongside the AUD read. I will try directly!

I think the power is good, AUD reads completely. And in manual it says in the black connector, and on harness pin 17 & 34 is not connected in grey connector. Correct me if i am wrong. Attached pictures of manual and harness connectors.

Get back in a bit when tried the capture from memory on BOE.

Thanks again!

Edit: I e-mail you the pictures also, get so small when attached.

Now everything works it looks like. Code is dumping. Looking like this in the first lines:
AUD Dump v1.5 by Marlin Bially
Enter Start Address as hex (00000000 - FFFFFFFF)
00000000 =
S31500000000FFFFFF4FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFAA
S31500000010FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFEA
S31500000020FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFDA
and so on....

Looking at this old thread i found the first chars dont match. That was from a 600 though.
Now i thought to take a look at the bs2 code i ran. And can i use the same stop adress as k7 600 even though
the first chars on each line dont match with the ones from the 600?

http://ecuhacking.activeboard.com/t22449760/code-dumping-question/

At least it feels good that it captures some code at least :)
I keep the capture running until i know more on where to stop...

Your getting all FF's because your ECU is not powered up.

The way you are matching the coupler pin to the ecu is wrong. The manual page shows the pin side numbering, not the back.  You have it backwards in your minds eye.  Check the gsxr1000 pinout of the ecu as refrence.

Look closely at the back of the black connector next to the fat orange POWER wire...you can see where it says 17, 34

On where to stop...

the first part of each line of an S-19 file is an address. You want to run it until the address gets above S31500060000.....

Started over again, now readings looks like this:

AUD Dump v1.5 by Marlin Bially
Enter Start Address as hex (00000000 - FFFFFFFF)
00000000 =
S31500000000FFFFFF7FFFFFFF7FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFA

S31500000020FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFDA
S31500000030FFFFFF0FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF2F8A
S31500000040FFFFFFFFFFFFFF2FFFFFFF2FFFFFFFFF5A
S31500000050FFFFFF2FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF7A
S31500000060FFFFFF0FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF8A

S315000000B0FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFEFFFFFFFEF6A
S315000000C0FFFFFFFFFFFFFFEFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF4A
S315000000D0FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF2A

Still a lots of FFF.... Have i missed something else too? :)

Something is not right. Hopefully you didn't blow up the ECU when you wired it wrong. How much current is the ECU drawing when powered up? Should be around 200mA. Over 500mA and your in trouble.

Can you take a close up pic of your AUD port wiring and how you have it connected to the Stamp Board (BOE)?

should look something like this...

S3150000000000000400FFFFADA000000400FFFFADA04C

I must say Marlin, you are one helpfull dude! Even though i am dumb as a train when it comes to this electronics stuff.
But i have really learned mouch theese days i must say! Real fun! Now it looks more like it! It´s all about how many times u try

AUD Dump v1.5 by Marlin Bially
Enter Start Address as hex (00000000 - FFFFFFFF)
00000000 =
S3150000000000000400FFFFADA000000400FFFFADA04C
S3150000001000002CC000002CC000002CC000002CC02A
S3150000002000002CC000002CC000002CC0000013B83B
S31500000030000013E600002CC000002CC000002CC0FD
S3150000004000002CC000002CC000002CC000002CC0FA

Problem this time was i only did set the BOE on switch position "1". Now tried "2" and got these reading instead.

Now just kick back for about 2 hours while it reads out. Actually you should do at least two passes so can compare them and make sure there are no mistakes. Also your battery on the BOE may go dead before you finish. If you find your battery craps out half way through you can always restart it in the middle by entering an address other than 00000000 when it starts. Then you can piece the files together to make a complete file.

You want to make sure the final bin is perfect before you go putting in the public domain where people will erase their ECU and stick your bin in it.

Twice - looks like you ate making good progress! How much money do you have in all of your cabling? Was it hard to find the AUD port on the ECU?

2hours REALLY? Why does it take so long to read the code? I do some work with PIC microcomtrollers. Is the long download time due to limitations with the boe data clock speeds? This really makes me want to mod my ECU and build a pic board to download the data. I just hate to cut open an ECU.... on another note....I know there is alot of info on this forum but would anyone be interested in putting it on a wiki in a step by step process to have all the info in a more centralized place so it is easier to find and update?

Wizzity finding the aud port was the easy part, you just need to cut a little hole. See image.
All other stuff i had laying around, cables are not 100% fit in the BOE "bridge", maybe thats why problem below? :)

Marlin, Marcin or someone that knows how a complete file looks like. A bit in on the correct readings
there comes up some reading that in my eyes looks lika a fatal error and stop correct reading?

S315000003400000295000002982000029B4000029E697
S3150000035000002A1800002A4C00002A8000002A9477
S3150000036000002ADC00002B1000002B4400002B5854
S3150000037000002B8C00002BC200002C0000002C304B
S3150000038000002C84FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFC3
S31500000390FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF67
S315000003A0FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF57
S315000003B0FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF47
S315000003C0FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF37
S315000003D0FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF27
S315000003E0FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF17
S315000003F0FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF07
S315000004004F22000293092039CBF0400E9206420B90

S315000004409B619C619D619361623072012320B10FB3

The first numbers after S31500000 sems to follow the series but all the rest seems corrupted to me?
I feel like im way out on deep water now haha...

Bad connections? What possible things can cause this? Fried ECU?
It´s problably me that has missed something again, brain feels melted right now.

Done 6 short readings now, all looks alike in the beginning at least. Guess its all good.
I will download the complete code two different times tomorrow, lets hope we are good to go after that!

Something aint right.
The readings are not consistent, only the part where all the FFFF´s are, like above.
Bike starts fine so ECU still looks ok. Then it must be bad connections.... Resoldered aud,
can soldered joints have no/poor connection even though they are stuck good and looks ok?
Anyone tried "wire glue" or some type of soldering glue?

Fried BOE seems far fetched, so only connections on boe and aud left?

I am really close to calling this a fail and glue the ecu back together, its nothing that pisses me off
so badly then when i cannot succed with something! My fist is going to find its way through a wall
real soon if i dont solve this.

Low battery on the BOE can cause inconsistent readings.

Why don't you send me everything you've got so far and I'll look at it.

Another thing that may be an issue is your personal computer / laptop. I've know terminal programs to drop lines when you open or use different applications at the same time.

When the BOE gets a new line it just spits it out. There is no handshaking. If the PC is too busy then the line is sent then it may get dropped.

Best not to use the computer for other things during a download.

I only got short readings a bit past the FFF above, but you might see moore than me, on its way to your email.

Laptop is running dual boot with Win 7 and a Ubuntu 11.10 alpha. Many partitions and encryption.
Slow ass harddrive on just around (5200 rpm), and the encryption makes it a bit slower. Else computer
running on idle when capturing in Win 7. Forum and a PDF open at most. Running x64 if that matter...

Also tried with fresh batteries on BOE a couple of times but they havent hardly dropped 0,2V for a couple of hours each.
When i left it over night the reading got more inconsistent when i tried in the morning. (Even after switching battery in BOE)
I think i have to redo all connections, only thing i can think causing this right now....

I looked at your data and unfortunately you are correct...your data is corrupted. Most the time it seems to turn what should be 0 bits into 1 bits. I would suspect a bad ground between the ECU and BOE but no way to know for sure. I would recheck all your connections.

OK, so i recieved better connectors, cable and solder tip in the mail yesterday.
Now i have got three different dumps, with complete reset/power off between readings.

Compared them with WinMerge and they are all the same.
Lets just hope it´s the correct data also...

Mailed you the 2 first dumps late last night Ridge, as you said i really dont want to post
up a maybe corrupted file.
