Hi drp

I am going to try the BDM driver off the TLR site to see if that will work My Bdm
unit as I got one without any software.

I currently have a 2000 model myself and a mates 1398 stroker we plan to adjust after we have sorted mine out smile

I have got a saab 900/9000 bdm that was suggested by 'psyche' of the TLR site, he said that he was in the process of rewriting the software for the zx12 and busa. Hopefully he would have some thing we can test soon.

I am going to try reading the 12 ecu this weekend, and see if it can be recognised with the TLR software.

Back soon.

Dave.

I've also purchased the bdm wire and slotted my ECU. I've also tested the old TLR program and it worked (of course I didn't get the whole ECU memory) but it worked! Now just waiting for Psyche to write the proram ready for 4 cylinder engines and then test it!

Hi Tuunsinii

so what did you get just 2 cylinders worth of data ?

Well I didn't look at the actual data, because TLR uses different parts of the memory map than 4 cylinder ECUs. Well not different but they use 2 of the 3 flash banks and only 50% of the another as 4-cylinder engines use all 3 banks... Its not worthwhile to look what I got but only to see that it works. Lets hope Psyche can find some time and do the coding so we can start changing things...

I got a 2001 zx12 last year and finally got everything, I am working on getting a Wego 3 hooked up for monitoring and I just got the nut welded on the exhaust last night. Now I need to switch out to the full Muzzy exhaust. I ran into a snag though, I need the 2001 service manual to verify wiring schematics on a couple things, I have the 2000 manual and I was told pin 22 on the ECU is the tach wire but in the 2000 manual it says pin 23, so I want to go off what it says for the TPS, so I need to find out what wire is right to hook to on that sensor.

I have read the zx12 1065 ecu, got 4 files - bootloader.bin, control registars.bin, firmware.bin and map data.bin.

Uploaded 'zx12_def for BDM Programmer.xml' from Pysche

but will not open in RomRaider, says 'ecu deffinition not found'

Any ideas!!!

Thanx Dave.

JOHN DYNOSTAR

No not yet, Psyche suggested that I upload the map from ecu again, and try reading again.

This is a second hand ecu, but I have run my 12 with it, but only started and revved
a little, not been ridden !!!!
