All stuff about 600 K4 K5 Denso ECU

Ok, so same history;) a lot of info but nothing more:)

MCU is 7052 so there should be AUD port inside and i bet it is, anybody digged inside it? I would need a bin to prepare definitions for it.

That would be the end of work on early gixxers with that mcu cause as i know this is only ones not to be flashed so far on this forum:)

I have a 32920-29G00 ECU. Here is the bin I got from the AUD port. Looks okay to me, can anybody have a look at it?

Hello clrokr,

your bin ist ok. It is definitely a normal, unrestricted GSX-R 600 K4/K5 EU bin.
There are at least two versions of this 32920-29G00, yours is the earlier D429SE02,
I also know a later D429SE03.
The difference in the data section between these two bins is only one byte at 0x03A053.
(and the identfier code and the checksum correction, but these two have no effect on engine behavior).

Checksum correction? Would you care to explain a bit?

Hello clrokr,

the standart checksum on the Denso ECUs is 0x5AA5.
To get this value, two bytes are used to correct the checksum.
But the Densos donīt verify the checksum, so it is no problem if you change data without correcting the checksum.

Hey Blackgixxer,
how is this checksum calculated? CRC-16 or just word addition? Also, where are the correction bytes located?
Thanks very much,
Clemens
