I have a roadrace bike that I am trying to do away with clutch switch - do anybody have idea?
Thanks in advance
If you don't want to rewire the harness the easiest thing to do is put a toggle switch in place of the clutch switch and just use it during starting.
The other alternative is modifing the harness so that the starter relay still works regardless of the clutch switch.
By the way the Ecu has seperate clutch limiters and maps.
Thanks for the reply, I already have switch in place and wired to faactory harness. Not sure how to remove completely using romraider?
Does anyone know which pin# this is?- I know not 58,59- as I have tested
Correction- with 58 (B/Y) disconnected I still get a change in engine tone operating switch?
Did you look at this pinout page http://ecuhacking.activeboard.com/t17007315/pinout-0506-gsx-r1000-ecu/
I just got done looking, I think it said 58.
Yup- I disconnected 58- engine still changes pitch when operating switch. I noticed the same line runs to starter switch which has a signal to ecu through Y/G wire. At this point not sure.
I have by passed my clutch switch by just joining the 2 wires together.
I'm I reading this right, by doing this it will alter the fueling?
ok thanx for that, I'm only running a neutral sensor on my old oil burner, so i presume it won't make any difference to how mine runs.
Actually a missing gear sensor error defaults the ECU to 6th gear maps when not in neutral or clutch in.
So would it be better if I fitted a GPS and reverted back to a clutch switch, rather than bypassing the clutch and using just a neutral
