I am looking for all the help i can get on this project. There is a large number of M109R owners that drag race these bikes and are limited to fuel management boxes. I am building an ecu interface this weekend thanks to the help of mark. If and when i'm able to get a copy of the bin file from the ecu is there anyone willing to take a look at it for me? The ecu is a lot like the gen 2 busa ecu's. I have a working spare ecu to work with so that won't be an issue. I've sent out a hand full of emails to people on the forum that i think have helped with ecueditor program. SO if anyone can help?
I have M109R2 2008 (VZR1800 en france). The system of injection is the same as gsxr1000. I compare all the pinout of differents ecu. Most semble is the one of gsxr1000.

It is almost the same pin out at the busa and gixxer1000. I've spent a lot of money on this project just to find out that is not. I bought a ecu and cut it open to get my pin out, and it is about 97% the same. The bad news is you can't copy the .bin file the same way as the gen 2 busa or gixxer. you'll need something to get that from the AUD(backdoor). Thats where i'm at right now.
I hope so. I should be able to get the bin file but thats as far as i'll be able to go with it. I'm a machinist/ mechanic, so i know nothing about programing. Hoping i'll be able to get some help around here with that.
Which ECU number do you need? The newer M109 are different from the first Generation.
I tried an ECU from a 2007 USA spec bike on my 2013 UK bike (think it's a 2012 actual bike) and although the bike started it would not idle and was running very rich. Well it smelt like a lot of petrol wasn't being burnt.
I hadn't removed the O2 sensors from the harness so wonder if this was causing some problem with the ecu. I have read somewhere that the wiring harness and ECU on the 2012+ bikes is different but can't find a manual to confirm the pinouts.
I would like to get the WR kit and reprogram the ECU but I have a new exhaust that needs to be fitted and I can only sit around polishing it for so long before I bite the bullet and buy a PC or Cobra Power Pro to get the job done!
