...if I'd own a piasini 4.1 hardwarew tool...

...how could i use it??

hi all!

i've found on an auction website the piasini hardware toolbox version 4.1 and seller told me that no logs or whatever are required...so...ready to go!

now...I would like to know what should i have to do for converting stock CBR 600rr '07 ECU...to HRC ECU!

i've read in an italian kawasaki forum that a user (that says that has a friend who con convert stock ECUs to RACE versions) that he copyes RACING ECUs and than paste all datas to STOCK ECUs so they become RACING!

now...this hw toolbox seller told me that he has only yamaha and suzuki WRITING (and it seems not READING) pinouts files for connecting this toolbox...not HONDA or KAWASAKI ones...

what should i do for converting a honda cbr 600 rr '07 to HRC ecu?

thank you in advance!

You can't mod a stock ECU into an HRC ECU, it's not the same hardware.

The stock ecu flash has a write endurance of only 100.

The Piasini stuff is just an insanely expensive USB to serial/jtag adapter. You'll still have to crack the ECU open.

the Honda ecu can be tuned.

But of course not with a CLONE piasini unit....

Piasini clone 4.1 was one of the best tools i ever bought. You can do pretty much every jap bike with it but you need the connections. We cut open many ecu's on the new bikes and made our own pdf because the clone s only come with a few that are unusable. CBR600 uses m32r. Clone has m32r toolbox

There are many mistakes in 4.1 clone and if you do not know what you are doing you can break ecu's. Its mainly down to mistakes in file size after reading so when you write back bikes do not start. But tool box saves the day.

Chris, maybe is better that you test it on honda to claim that you can do it with a CLONE unit.

otherwise who will buy it for that, may tell you what they think about liers....

Where in my post do i claim this is possible?. Merely a statement on tool box with no claim at all. If its not possible wouldnt it be better for you to keep quiet about it and then laugh at all that buy it. or maybe it is possible and this is a distraction technique.

Christian,

I never said it can't be reflashed, I said it can't be turned into an HRC ECU.

Do you claim you can reflash a stock CBR ecu without opening it?

As far as I know you need to open the ECU to access the jtag or serial pins of the M32R.
And for the serial flash read/write you need to know the bootloader password which is in the chip... so you need to JTAG to read it first if you don't know it.

So this can be done with any cheap serial and jtag adapter as long as you know how to do it.
Modifying the maps in the binary is another matter...

Thanks.

I don't think it can be done with an original piasini either . Id say they use another tool for it that's why you have to send the ecu to them . I could be wrong

Is it not different bootloader in them compared to Denso? Renesas M32R prtocol won´t connect when i tried.
Anyone have done JTAG and have the bootloader and password?
