Looking for SDS tool files (for reverse)

Hi,

I am looking for SDS files (full CD if possible).

It is for some reverse engineering purpose and trying to make an interface compatible with the official software.

Thanks,

cranor

Thank you Brix for your fast reply.

Could you upload it anywhere on the net ?

I have no idea of how much big [or small] it could be. If it is small, I may give you my email.

Thanks again,

cranor

You can use http://depositfiles.com

Once uploaded, you have to pass the mouse over the green "OK" button and copy the link.

Thank you very much !

Will take a look at it and keep the forum informed if I discover any interesting thing :)

Should take a few days to see if something could be done

Do you have any interest in looking at the software used on suzuki powered arctic cat snowmobiles?

Hi,

Sure ! why not !

Do you know if it uses the same interface or an other one ?

Hi there,

I reversed an important part of the software and began the development of a tiny interface that should (and will have to!) work with the official SDS software and that I could sell much more cheaper than the official (~100-150). Will depend on the prices of cables, connector and plastic box (will maybe buy a new 3D printer).

The software will however require patching because of some restrictions, but legally it will be ok.

In reality, I finished the hardware part yesterday and now I am working on the firmware and handling of data packets (hardest part).
Hope to make it work as fast as possible but won't be able to work on it for 1 week (vacation).

Thanks again Brix for the software. As you were the first one to help me, you will be offered a gift ;) except if you already own a SDS cable.. then I should be able to do or find something else interesting for you.. I will keep in touch with you at the end of development.

PS: happy new year to all members
PS2: which software do Suzuki's workshops use for ECU flashing ?

PS3: Now looking for Kawasaki Racing Tool.. I let you imagine why :D

Thank you mate,

Downloaded & installed :)

The API and driver have the same name as SDS for motorcycles.

File versions are different, but it shouldn't be difficult to make AC Diag compatible with the USB interface I am working on.

Will tell you more when the motorcycle part will be ready for tests.

Keep us updated :)
Is the SDS software for the whole powersport range or only motorcycles? Is there any features list or something?
Wich models/years does the version you have cover?

Here are the SDS features on engine ECU (and when available ABS, EPS, transsmision ECUs) :

- fault codes : read, erase and display Freeze frames (=ECU data when fault occured).
- live data : display, draw charts and save data for further analysis.
- actuator control : may activate a few actuators for test purpose (solenoid)

The help file contains some screenshots of the GUI interface but I haven't yet tested the software.

A full list of models (and associated years) supported by the SDS version Brix gave me.

As I have a GSXR 750, Suzuki is my first target, then will analyze solutions for other brands :) Last thing: I will try to add a data logging function to the box

Hi,

Some news from the KLineMaster (it's how I called this box).

The project started really fast, but has been delayed due to my professional activity.
The hardware design is now finished, I customized a bootloader for specific tasks and made a PC software for simple diagnosis purpose.

Picture & screenshot :

boitier_et_cable_600px.jpg

(higher resolution => http://www.klinemaster.com/photos/boitier_et_cable.jpg )

The box is 3D printed, last versions are less crappy than the prototype on the picture. I tried to mold boxes with epoxy resin, but result is not perfect at all.

Below, the software is displaying french text in the left menu due to the parameters of my computer.

"Données temps réel" means "live data", "Défauts" = "Faults", "Actionneurs" = "Actuators".

Values are erroneous because I was faking frames (to 0) for the screenshot.

logiciel.png

The box may still be put into SDS mode.

Few bugs remains and I still have many features to add, but as the hardware design is frozen and thanks to the bootloader, I will be able to provide upgrades without inbox intervention.

Have a nice day

The development is still in progress (Waiting for some ECUs I ordered).
But you may contact me if really interested in buying current version which could be upgraded later.
Please contact me using the mail here to discuss about it : [removed]

Cranor, I am interested in finding out the information contained in the data stream that goes from the ECU to the tacho on an M109R, 2012 model or later. Do you have this info or do you know were I can get it from? In particular I am looking for the packet contents and what each bit does.

Hi,

Sorry, I never tried to sniff tacho link wires.
You could take a logic analyzer and give it a try ;)
