Can somebody please tell me what the number values on a fueling map table represent?
Eg. On the Gen 2 Busa - 4000RPM @ 100% TPS the map value is 4369 (Mode A, Neutral)... What does that equal ???
Is there anyway to relate these numbers to actual fuel being injected ??? That way being able to relate a number increase = X fueling increase ...
It is a unit of time expressing how long the injector will open and therefore how much fuel will be delivered. If I remember correctly the unit is 2uS (0.000002 seconds). A map value of 500 will turn on the injector for 1 millisecond.
Of course you could use this number with the injector flow rate to calc actual fuel but without an accurate air mass number it is kind of meaningless. For tuning all you need to know is that a 10% increase in map number is a 10% increase in delivered fuel.
