Is ECUeditor and Woolich racing software the same/similar?

I was just curious if the software was the same and if maps were interchangeable?

Anything different between the two?

I was having some issues with ECUeditor reading my Woolich Logbox maps and was thinking of trying the Woolich Racing software and was wondering if that would create any issues swapping between the two versions?

Thanks,

Josh

Hi, the Woolich Racing Tuned (WRT) software is not the same software as ecueditor, WRT was re-written from the ground up to allow features to be added easier and more models to be added easier and faster than ecueditor.

You can move your bin files between the ecueditor and WRT. To do this you should create or read you bin file using ecueditor, then save it to your hard disk, you should then be able to open the bin file in Woolich Racing Tuned software and or ecueditor.

Thank you for the quick response.

If the software is not the same, how are maps affected by switching back and forth?

The main difference is in map unification. ecueditor is much less flexible with unifying fuel and ignition maps. I would suggest the best approach is to create a bin file in ecueditor, and only use ecueditor for making changes to settings that are not yet available in WRT. Then use WRT with the bin file for all other modifications. If you are taking this approach dont open the ignition maps in ecueditor as it will unify them in a way that is not compatible with WRT.

Cheers

-Justin.
