What's the ECU part number and what's it for (year, make model). Where are you located?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it is my understanding that the manufactured chip is designed by the manu and if you are looking for the chip to change, then you'd have to change I don't know how many other moves made on that motherboard, but you are stuck with the preset of the chip(s). It follows something called a 'truth table.' It means the chip's (many) pins can flow in either direction, sans the +/- pins to run 12v down to 5v. So to hack into the preset, your only move is to download from the pins from outside the ECU. You'll just meet the same pin soldered on the motherboard. Kind of see both moves going nowhere? So by using the laptop or whatever, you as a human are stuck with what the preset reveals on the screen and those parameters [a human can read]. Theory wise, you are stuck at 14.7 and that decimal point turned into a binary number. So, be it the preset of the chip's truth table inside the chip, or mother natures preset, use is ****ed hardware wise. My guess is you'll wind up with the same hardware parts to make it work with the sensors being used and all that.
