As expected, the 3rd gear map did nothing when cold either. Map 5 did nothing. Map 6 opened the secondaries in all gears regardless of clutch position or temperature.
And that's when it hit me like a ton of bricks. Dumb ass. I have a TRE on my bike...set to 6th gear.
Could have happened to any of us. I'm just glad you figured it out. I was getting worried that there was something fundamental I was misreading about the code.
I'm sure it was my own personal sense of relief, and not anything to do with your abilities that made me laugh out loud when I read that...
Well, TRE debacle aside I did find that the map select works and with some ignition changes on MS1 I'm really looking forward to going out for a ride tomorrow. Thankfully the weather is going to be cooperative and we'll be in the 40's.
I copied ignition map 2 to MS1 cylinders 1 & 4. With the secondaries not closed down 30% at the higher RPMs and the Ign advance being even across the cylinders, it should be impressive.

The results of opening up the secondaries were substantial, but I couldn't tell any real difference with the changed timing other than maybe a little more grunt at the mid RPMs.
With any luck I can get back to experimenting in the near future. I still think the bandit has a lot of hidden potential with just ecu changes.
