Virtual ECU debugging enviornment

I wonder if this is why some ECU designs lack 'messy' hardware debug ports?

Demonstration Video

Cool software but those bastards may put us out of business...bleh

Actually now that I think about it this would be the ultimate ECU hacking tool for understanding what is going on in the software.

I wonder how many tens of thousands of dollars it cost?

What if there is a bug in virtual ecu debugging environment ? (Good ones are always needed for testers...)

I wrote the IDE but no longer work for the company. It would be a great environment to enable you to develop the ECU hacking tool but the effort required to build the models would be so great you would never get to that stage.
