I won't have a chance to clean the rest of the potting compound from my ECU until the weekend, but once I do I intend to document the unlabled pins as well as start tracing the injector/ignition/sensor pins to their connection points on the ECU.
Looks like the re-flashing pins are going to be 7,24,25, and 28. Plus power and ground of course.
Anyone know what the othe pins might be for? If it helps, the ECU labeling used names like NT for neutral transmission, STA for starter, CLT for clutch...
thanks for the info. Can you proof Pin 37? The workshop manual says IREL (FP relay) is on Pin 38. Do you have photos of the connector pin area you could post or mail?
I emailed you the pics. Please email me your external IP address, my firewall blocks most everyone outside the US since my customers and users are located in the states. If your IP is 204.11.52.128 for instance, I only need to know the 204.11.52. I'll open the whole range for you, I just can't open everything up to the world. Too many bots to deal with...
I think you pin 30 is in fact Map Select not programming mode select. Historically Denso has marked the programming mode MD1 and many of the newer bikes don't have it pinned out.
Because FWE and MD1 are always switched together they just use the FWE and have it internally switch the MD1.
Also experience is showing that the reset is really unnecessary. You can really simplify construction by just wiring the following...
USB +5 to FWE USB TX to RXD1 USB RX to TXD1 USB Gnd to Gnd
This way when ever the usb is powered up and you power up the ECU it goes into boot mode.
The only advantage to the switch and reset is if you want to switch back and forth between User mode and boot mode without turning the power off on the ECU.
Put a 'Yosh' plug on the end of it and move three of your yosh plug pins on the ECU connector and you have a nice little 'factory' wire harness flash plug.

RR, you´ve to say that the bandit has the ability to connect in User Mode? It could also read the file, or only record (flash)? I do not know if I understand ...
