Hello - Long time lurker joining in

Hi there!

Awesome work so far. I hope we can contribute even more to the mysteries of Motorcycle ECUs.

I am also the webmaster of and run a small tuning business on the side.

We had to develop some ECU fooling devices to overcome the Speed Governor and a few other limitations.

Time to dig into the ECU for good as we need to remap the throttle by wire of the 2009+ VMax.

Anybody working on VMax ECUs is welcome to join in.

The first very simple goal is to map out the stock ECU and compare it to the Race ECU - which stupidly only raises the Speed Limiter. But because of it being the only difference it should be a useful starting point to isolate the throttle by wire maps in various gears.

I will be cutting up a stock ECU next week to map out the layout and find the proper ports.

I own a full Dynojet 250 setup with Load Control - It will hopefully come in handy to test various changes.

Looking forward to learning more from you guys!

A quick update:

Got an ECU opened up and mapped out the AUD ports. The main ECU contains 3 CPUs, 2 of which are the main Denso SH7052 32-bit units. There are two sets of AUD ports in the circuit board, and are accessible from the back, when removed small portions of the housing. Will make future ECUs a lot easier.

I have also setup a dedicated forum on our vmax site and will share everything we find out here and there. ( )

It did not take long for folks to show up who want to charge for this information. Being an open source developer myself, I want to make sure all the info is freely available, in the very spirit of your site here.

I will be back with photos and more details.

Thanks for all the insight you guys have shared with the public!
