Made a decision to add a donations button to ecueditor.com, this is for us to support new development of the product. Also it is there now when the gixxer version was made available and its anticipated that more users will start to use the software.
The button is visible next to the update box as well as when ever there is a new update available in internet for download - so inconvenience should be minimal and request for donation will happen only when new version is installed.
This feature is completely voluntary and it also creates a problem to the core development team: how to best use the funds received, if any. I know from history with sports associations that this can become a complex issue - but lets see how things develop.
Anyway my certain intention is not to make this commercial, but if there are good features made available then we should somehow ensure that at least the direct purchase costs get somehow covered for persons involved.
Anyway - as usual the user community may decide on how to react to this and request changes to how this operates.

How much would be considered a fair amount to donate ? So far I have "only" flashed 3 other ECU than mine and I have only asked for money from one of them but I am more than willing to donate a percentage of what I get from this "work".
i made a small donation with the paypal name mikemeezy778@aol.com a few days ago and wanted to make sure u got it... i plan too send more as i can because your hard work saved me a good amount of money and i now can spend that on other stuff for the bike ... thank you and keep up the great work! mike fields jr

Thanks for everyone donations so far. Getting the donation system seems to be a tuff task - somehow paypal does not accept all kind of links to the saved buttons. Additionally during past days a computer crash has slowed some things down a bit. My desktop 2Tera RAID 5 array went bust. All data is saved, but need to re-install the computer over the coming week or so.
