I'm very new to the hacking scene but got my ECU reflashed to fix the TRE and a few other issues. I'm now in the process of ordering the hardware and a spare ECU to try doing some extra changes to the ECU.
The person who flashed my ECU last time said that it was possible to flash my gsxr600 ECU to be a 1000 ECU (using the 600 ignition/fuelling tables) so I was just wondering how I would go about doing this?
The 1000's have a LOT more features in ECUEditor so if I can unlock them on a 600 it would be sweet :)
I downloaded my K8 1000 file from my bike and e-mailed it in to be added to the list but, I don't think it got added. Therefore, I use the k7 map that is supplied with ECU Editor. If you have the software you can look over any of the maps for 600's 750's 1k's and Busa's.
Ok so I was half asleep, it didnt work because of a reason I wont state...
I loaded the GSXR1000 maps (K8 and K9) and both seemed to work, dyno testing this weekend.
But I loaded the BUSA Gen2 map in and I had smoke coming out from under the fuel tank/air box (most of smoke was emerging out the front where the bolt is)
Now there was a LOT of smoke but it all seems to be functioning just fine... so something was getting over-worked but I dont know what. Pair valve maybe? Any ideas? I can send through the map I made if needed
I am taking a guess here but, I think it might be your exhaust valve control motor. There is a box under the tank mounted on the frame with 2 cables coming out that go to the header where the exhaust valve is.
Normally it is controlled by the ecu with position feedback. Perhaps with the Hayabusa code it tryed to run without stopping.....up against the stop until the motor burns or smokes.
You can disconnect the plug and disconnect the cables at the header. The valve has a spring that opens it if the cables are disconnected.
Hello everyone, I too have the ECU refleshed original GSX-R European 600k8, in that the European gsxr 1000k7 to use most functions on ecueditor. reflesh just after the bike does not start and the LED flashes quickly and then turn off dell'immobilazer. but the bike does not give me any error with the test. how can I fix this?? thanks
I refleshed the ECU with the image eu 21h50 but the bike would not start. I then refeshed the ECU with the image 20h60 and modified the electrical system from eu to us and is started.
