K8 gsxr 1k flashing issues

I'm having a serious problem flashing k7 and k8 gsxr 1k's. Everytime I flash one it has issues afterwards. I can flash busa's with no problem but only the 1k is giving me issues. Example. I just finished tuning a k8 1k on the dyno with no problems. I flashed the ecu and only changes I made was enabling the map switching, raising the rev limit up, checked the boxes for hardcut and restrictions and added 20% fuel on ms1. Before flash bike made 193hp, after flash 120hp. Seems like something is restricting it and slowed it down. Any ideals?

Now I Just swapped ecu's with another bike here in the shop and the HP is back so something is definitly wrong with the one I flashed.

Ok, I reflashed it but this time only thing I changed was the rev limit, gear restriction and hardcut. Power is back up. If you enable map switching which mode does it stay in or is any of that affected?

Flashed it again with the map switching enabled and the power is back down. Now if I break the contact from pin 66 the power is good. I did notice that in the advance settings when I choose switchable it shows the map defaulted on Mode 1 instead of Mode 0. I checked the maps between the TPS map and the MS TPS map and noticed they are not the same. The ignition maps are the same. The fuel numbers in the MS TPS map is higher than the TPS map but with pin 66 grounded it shows a rich condition on the dyno and with pin 66 not grounded it show it spot on. Has anybody noticed this with a k7-k8 1k?

Had a few issues, posted in the 1000 section, but related to busa bin for turbo 1k
Not flashed a std config gix

Yes, on 1k gixxers the wiring on pin 66 is different to the other gix and haya. If you change setting to "switchable" normaly ModeSelect is 0!!! And MS0 is the restrikted Version (you can see the STP-values are very close). So you have to change the wiring or the values or set to MS1.

I did that but the power is still down. Its like its in the "c" mode for the MS0. I copied the fuel mapping from MS1 to MS0 and its still the same.

Copy the STP-MAP also from MS1 to MS0 and be sure that you are copy in A-Mode. Also the STP-FUEL-Map.

Oh, I see what your talking about. Is there a easier way to copy and paste on these maps with having to enter each value per square?

I always select the whole map from an unrestricted gear and copy to exel, from there i take it back to the MAP/MODE/GEAR i want.

Maybe there is a easier way i do not know?!

Many maps copy and paste, but to paste you only click on the top left cell of the area you want to change
stp will copy and paste

If I am not mistaken, the GSXR's have the alternate maps severely limited for use in HP restricted areas.

The STP modifications are likely 99% of the problem. That said, there is always a chance for errors in teh programming. This is all pretty much new software with the busa having the most usage, and down from there.

Keep the group on top of the issues as they happen so we can track and try to get a handle on them, especially with the new, more universal interface that is being worked on.
