It appears to connect ok but reads out 256k of 'FF's for some reason.

Probably something stupid I'm missing...

Same as gen 1 busa
you may have wiped the ecu on connection
and will not download contents without opening up the ecu

bin & def files are in the sticky

Oops! How do I avoid doing that again? I followed the sequence suggested to the letter.

Key/ECU power off.
FWE switch off/open.
Connect USB to bike
Connect USB to Laptop
Key/ECU power on.
FWE switch on/closed
Press and release Reset
Connect FDT software
Disconnect FDT software
FWE switch off/open
Key/ECU power off
Disconnect USB

Will it re-write do you know?

Cheers

You can not read 7052/7054 with FDT. When you hit connect it will erase the rom.
When you hit download it writes the file, upload reads the file in FDT.

So each time you have connected the ecu to FDT, you will need to write a new bin to it.
You can only read this ecu with AUD port.

Its I/O ports are secured, it goes with a PCIe 4.0 space (and a second PCIe 3.0 one), and it has practically all the ports and port headers you could need. With this motherboard, you're getting phenomenal power Best Motherboard for Ryzen transport, an exceptional rundown of abilities and an incomprehensibly suitable cooling game plan, similarly as a cool slick without a doubt.
