probably a stupid question about data logging on gen 1


can it be done via the ecueditor software for a Gen 1?

or do i need a data logger?

if so why?

The Gen 1 does not have a Suzuki Diagnostic plug (SDS) so you can not communicate with the ECU directly to get engine data for loggin in ecueditor.

thank you for the reply,

do you know if this is this literally a plug? or are we talking about seperate hardware or pins/functionality?

im asking because a datalogger is alot of money!

i have a laptop permanently mounted to the bike so a usb option would be preferable, considering that from what i can tell a datalogger is just recording signal voltage? excuse my ignorance but how comes they are so expensive?
