Testing ECU shift Kill


is the ecu shift kill only going to kill when the bike is in a gear? I tried testing in neutral with no kill, the RPM would actually raise as long as I had the horn button pressed, then when the same test was done in first kill the kill seems to work. I assume that this is due to the ecu seeing the resistor in neutral and maybe changing from neutral map to gear map.

 

Any words on the correct way to test this without test riding the bike? Also at 60ms kill it seems to just barely stutter the motor, the old MPS kill box would cut the motor noticeably at 70ms.
