Someone please help with ECU Editor and FDT not Syncing

Hey peeps. I have installed ECU Editor as well as FDT 4.01 on 2 different computers now as well as loaded the drivers, set up the com ports, and setup the FDT software. Now when I go to program the ECU I get a message saying that " An unhandled exception occurred". Can someone please help me with this. I'm needing to get this ecu programmed and running for this weekend. Thanks

If your using windows 7 you need to run as administrator to get ecu editor to work correctly.

Hi, which version of FDT are you using as well, ecueditor looks on the filesystem for certain versions of FDT, so if your version does not match it can cause this issue.

"C:\Program Files\Renesas\FDT3.07\"
"C:\Program Files\Renesas\FDT4.00\"
"C:\Program Files\Renesas\FDT4.01\"
"C:\Program Files\Renesas\FDT4.02\"
"C:\Program Files\Renesas\FDT4.03\"
"C:\Program Files\Renesas\FDT4.04\"
"C:\Program Files\Renesas\FDT4.05\"
"C:\Program Files\Renesas\FDT4.06\"
"C:\Program Files\Renesas\FDT4.1\"
"C:\Program Files\Renesas\FDT4.10\"
