correct init sequence through k-line

Hello,

I have saw, read and studied a few project based on the k-line (like https://gonzos.net/projects/ctx-obd/  https://bitbucket.org/tomnz/kawaduino and more)

I am a quite confused because even if they say to uses the same protocol (KWP2000) many had different init sequence, are them really using the same protocol or every manufacter makes its own?

I also made my version of the KWP2000 to try to bring all these mess inside one single library: https://github.com/aster94/Keyword-Protocol-2000 which at the moment works only for suzuki

also inside the same brand i found different init sequence, for honda i found:

k-line LOW

wait 70

k-line HIGH

wait 120

send FE 04 FF FF

wait 200

send 72 05 00 F0 99

wait response

is this correct based on your experience?

Dear Aster, please have a look in the following discussion; https://ecuhacking.activeboard.com/t22573776/sds-protocol/

I have seen another question related to yours. Also, you could have a closer look at the Ecueditor software.

Probably you have seen this already. If not this should answer your questions regarding the SDS function. For the kawa and yamaha OBD protocol you need to dig in the ecuhacking forum.
