I wanted to read/write ECU data for 2013 zx6r so i ordered KTAG that came with a software V2.23 V2.23 did not list my motorcycle in supported models, V2.47 does. So i bought V2.47 from ebay, plugged my KTAG into it and NOTING. Turns out, KTAG does NOT work with Ksuite V2.47, only KESS does. Ksuite V2.47 wont even open with KTAG connected
Stupidity continues....
I sold my $110 KTAG for $70 (+ paid for shipping $12) Then i ordered KESS and it came with V2.23. That was OK since i already had V2.47 sitting around. With KESS connected, Ksuite V2.47 opened and loaded giving me hope, BUT KESS does not support my motorcycle, or ANY Kawasaki at all because KESS is mainly for direct connection to OBD port.
Lessons i learned were:
KTAG is for direct connection to ECU or directly to a chip. KTAG does not seem to work with V2.47 BUT chinese sellers advertize v2.47 with KTAG all the time so i am confused, maybe they have a working version ? KESS is for connecting to OBD ports and for that reason supported ECU list is very small
Has anyone EVER had any success with those two ? Once EPROM is read and saved, what program can edit it ?
My need was simple, i wanted to disable automatic traction control on my bike because it would turn ON every time bike starts. Hoping that KTAG was able to do it was somewhat confusing and unclear idea but i went with it anyway. Not much help online. YouTube shows allot of garbage videos not explaining ANYTHING at all.
Can someone add some detail here ? Someone who actually owns KTAG or KESS.
I dont know much about the world of ECU reprogramming. What is piassini, is it any better ? Is it original hardware or chinese fakes like KTAG that are allover the eBay ?
Does it with with windows 10 X64 ?

Hello, I am also 2014 vfr800f ED the original keyless car came back, to match the HISS chip, found that the ECU can't work, I don't know what is the problem.
